French Onion Soup
A classic French recipe consisting of caramelized onions cooked inwards a flavorful beef broth and topped alongside toasted staff of life together with melted cheese. Super yummy and comforting!
Ingredients
- one kg onions cutting in half as well as and then thinly sliced, lengthwise
- 150 g butter
- 150 ml cognac
- 550 ml H2O
- i beef jelly bouillon
- two whole cloves
- two bay leaves
- ii cloves garlic
- half dozen baguette slices
- 200 g grated cheese
- salt
- pepper
To serve:
- parsley chopped
Instructions
- Place a wide pot over high estrus, let to become hot, so add the butter, onions, and thyme together with sauté for five minutes until the mixture turns gilded.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and proceed cooking for xv minutes until the onions soften.
- Add the cognac and prepare for ii minutes.
- Add a spice bag filled alongside the cloves, bay leaves, and garlic.
- Add the beef bouillon jelly together with H2O. Season amongst common salt and pepper as well as mix. Cover the pot with a chapeau together with simmer for thirty minutes, stirring every and then frequently.
- When the soup is cook, transfer to a pocket-size clay pot or to private ramekins. Top alongside baguette slices, sprinkle alongside grated cheese and grill, until the breadstuff is toasted in addition to the cheese turns gilded.

Notes
